Load What's in the Bag — load

Player equipment from the what's in the bag database (WITBDB): one row per club, parsed from GolfWRX and PGA Tour Club Tracker bag posts. Each bag keeps its source and source_url.

Usage

load_witb(player = NULL, year = NULL, slot = NULL)

Arguments

player: Optional player name filter (partial match, case-insensitive).
year: Optional year filter on as_of_date.
slot: Optional filter: one or more of "driver", "fairway", "hybrid", "utility", "iron", "wedge" and "putter".

Value

A tibble with one row per club: bag columns (bag_id, player_id, player_name, as_of_date, event_name, tournament_id, source, source_url), the club (slot, club_label, club_order), head, shaft, grip and putter specs, and qc_flags. See [pga_field_descriptions()] with "witb".

Details

player_id is the PGA Tour player ID used by [load_shots()]; it is NA for players without one (for example LPGA players and amateurs). Fields a post does not list are NA.
